Join us for the AAML Pennsylvania Winter Meeting, held alongside the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Family Law Section Meeting. This gathering brings together family law attorneys from across the Commonwealth for meaningful connection and professional development.

PBA Registration opens at 1:00 PM. AAML Pennsylvania will open their program from 1:30–3:00 PM with Navigating the Crossroads: Where Family and Dependency Courts Meet, a 1.5 Substantive CLE-credit program exploring how dependency and family courts interact—particularly when custody matters arise during investigations of criminal charges or abuse allegations involving a parent. 

Topics include:

  • The evolution of a custody or dependency case following a dependency adjudication
  • Considerations when third parties may serve as caregivers
  • Resources for children and caregivers
  • Practical guidance for advising parents or third parties when CYS/DHS/OCY is involved
  • Best practices for obtaining criminal records and understanding current clearance requirements
